What committees ask before they say yes
Do parents need to install an app?
Yes, on iOS or Android. They sign in with a code sent to their email, so there is no password to remember or reset. Once in, they stay signed in.
Do we have to give up our existing chat group?
Keep it for chat if you want. Folia handles the things that must not be missed: announcements, events and anything needing a response. Most committees find the group goes quiet on its own.
Where is our parents and children data stored?
In the EU, encrypted at rest, with all traffic over HTTPS. No phone numbers are shared between parents, managers only see the groups they are assigned to, and you can export or delete any person data on request.
How long does setup take?
A school is usually live the same week. Children, classes and guardians come in through one import template, and we run the first import with you.
Can parents reply with messages?
Not with free text, and that is deliberate. Parents respond in structured ways you can report on: read, Accept or Decline, or Acknowledge and confirm. Your inbox stays clean.
